Donna Moore

Donna Moore, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Amarillo.

Donna was born on October 26, 1942 in Clarendon, Texas to J. B. and Rose (Reid) Duckett. Her family moved to Plainview and she graduated from Plainview High School in 1960. She met Lyndell Moore in Plainview and they were married on June 24, 1960. Donna lovingly devoted her life to raising her three boys and they moved to Canyon in 1967. With her boys raised and extra time on her hands, she became the music secretary at the First Baptist Church of Canyon for fourteen years. She and Lyndell were longtime members of the First Baptist Church of Canyon until moving to Amarillo, where they became members of the First Baptist Church of Amarillo. Donna will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family and her strong faith.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth Duckett. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Lyndell Moore of Amarillo; three sons, Mike Moore and wife, Terrin of Tulsa, OK, Kirk Moore and wife, Deanna of Canyon, and Monty Moore and wife, Kristi of Frisco; six grandchildren, Hannah Lareau, Nicholas, Paul, and Matthew Moore, Meredith Laurel, and Alex Moore; three great-grandchildren, Adalie, Macie, and Ellie, with one more on the way; and her sister, Rose Ann Bailey of Plainview.

The family suggests memorials be to the First Baptist Church of Amarillo for The Loft - New Project Fund, 1208 S. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
