Donald Cintella

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Donald "Don" Cintella was born on July 8, 1934 in Danville, Illinois to Joseph and Margie Bunton Cintella. He graduated from Denora High School in Pennsylvania. He married Linda Denny in Canyon on May 18, 1984. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany for 1 A½ years. He worked for the sanitation department at the City of Canyon for 27 years, retiring in 2009. He then worked for five years as a custodian for CISD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. Having lived in Pennsylvania, Don was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also loved baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, his twin, Ron, and Frank; a sister, Lavon Miller; and a nephew. Survivors include his wife, Linda Cintella, of Canyon; two sons, Andrew Cintella and wife, Sue, of Amarillo and Austin Cintella, of Canyon; three step grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Cassie Drury, and Jonathan Griffey; eight step great-grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Filicko, of Greensburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
