Don Davis, 72, of Canyon passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born on May 24, 1948 in Powell, Wyoming to George and Ruth Scott Davis.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard in New Mexico and Texas, serving from 1969 to 1985. He was an LVN and was working on his RN at WTAMU in hopes of becoming a Director of Nurses.
Don married Sandra Fitzgerald in Canyon on July 11, 1995. He loved learning and was continually taking courses. He enjoyed the outdoors and particularly loved trees. He enjoyed being with his step grandchildren and making people laugh.
Don was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sandra Davis; daughter, Donette Davis; son, Justin Davis; one grandchild; two brothers, Chris Davis and wife, Jamie and Michael Davis and wife, Pearl; four step children, Courtney Ray and husband, Craig, Troy Martin and wife, Tanah, Bonnie Milam, and Michael McRight; seven step grandchildren; eleven step greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
