Diane "DeeAnn" Elizabeth Barnes

Diane “DeeAnn” Elizabeth Barnes, 78, passed away on January 30, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1947.

DeeAnn graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in 1965 and later retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after many years of dedicated service. She loved lake life, gardening, cooking, playing bridge, watching football, watching the Texas Rangers and her precious fur babies. She will be remembered for her steady presence, devotion to family, and the care she showed to those she loved.

She married Richard Henry Barnes, Sr. on November 5, 2011 and they lived in Lake Tanglewood in Amarillo, Texas.

DeeAnn was preceded in death by her son, Erik Rumfield.

DeeAnn is survived by her husband, Richard Henry Barnes, Sr.; her bonus children, Brenda Barnes Therriault and husband David, and Richard Henry Barnes, Jr. and wife Heather; and her grandchildren, Shane Rumfield, Kylie and Major Key, Surcy Peoples, and Braxton and Bryson Barnes.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
