Diana Lynn Devers, affectionately known as "Lady Di," 59, of Canyon, Texas, passed away on October 18, 2026, just three days shy of her 60th birthday.

Diana was born on October 21, 1966, in Amarillo, Texas, to Billy Joe and Elva Devers. She grew up in Hereford, Texas, where she graduated from Hereford High School in 1985. Diana continued her education at West Texas A&M University, earning her Master's Degree in Human Resources and Speech Communication.

Throughout her professional career, Diana was known for her dedication, intelligence, and genuine care for others. She served as the Director of Annual Giving at West Texas A&M University before joining Canyon Independent School District as the Accounts Payable/Travel Coordinator. With a lifelong love of learning and a desire to continue growing, Diana later enrolled in the Paralegal Program at Amarillo College. Although health challenges prevented her from completing the program, they never diminished her curiosity, determination, or desire to pursue new opportunities.

To know Diana was to know a truly beautiful soul. She had an extraordinary gift for bringing joy and laughter into almost any situation. Whether through an elaborate story, a perfectly timed comment, or simply a look on her face, Diana could make an ordinary moment unforgettable. Her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor were especially evident when she joined forces with her equally witty brother, Scott. Together, they could keep the laughter going until their sister, Monica, had tears rolling down her face. These moments of laughter and the memories they created will forever be treasured.

Diana cherished time spent with family and friends, especially when it involved playing games, working puzzles, or simply enjoying one another's company. It was never just about the game or the puzzle, but the laughter, conversations, and memories made along the way. She had a way of making even the simplest moments special.

But perhaps even greater than Diana's gift for laughter was her remarkable ability to love others. Her love was genuine, sincere, and freely given. Her family affectionately called her a "friend of the friendless" because she had a special way of drawing people in, especially those who might otherwise feel overlooked. Diana made people feel seen, heard, and valued. Even during her time in long-term care, staff members were drawn to her, often stopping simply to visit and spend time with her. She had a way of making others feel that they mattered, because to Diana, they truly did.

At the very heart of Diana's life was her deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Diana attended Freedom Fellowship Church in Canyon, Texas. Hers was not a quiet or distant faith, but one that was vibrant, joyful, and deeply personal. She loved to worship the Lord, and her prayers for others were filled with compassion and a heartfelt desire for God's mercy and healing. She believed in the goodness of God and trusted Him wholeheartedly.

Even as her earthly journey became increasingly difficult, Diana's faith remained steadfast. Through pain, hardship, and circumstances she could not understand, she continued to trust in the One she knew would never leave her. The light of Christ within her continued to shine, even through the darkest trials. Diana believed that God would hold her, deliver her, and bring her healing. And now, in His presence, she has received the ultimate healing, free from pain and suffering, made whole in the arms of her Savior.

Diana dearly loved her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those closest to her. The laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the faith she lived so faithfully leave a legacy that will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Devers; her nephews, Jason Aaron Dye and Bryce Allen Devers; and other beloved family members.

She is survived by her loving mother, Elva Siburt Devers; her sister, Monica Dye and husband Darren, and their children, Hannah Dye, Josiah Dye and his wife Jessica; and her brother, Scott Devers and wife Carissa, and their children, Laney Argo and her sons, Jaxson and Jaiden, Grant Garrett, Averey and Berklee, and Mallory Devers; along with many other cherished family members and friends.

While her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her, there is great comfort in knowing that Diana's suffering has ended and that she is now experiencing the fullness of the promises she held so dear. Her life was a testimony of faith, her laughter was a gift, and her love was a blessing.

Diana had a special way of ending her text messages to family with the letters "ILYEDTEIY" — her own sweet reminder that meant, "I love you every day that ends in Y." It was a simple expression of a love that was constant, unconditional, and so beautifully Diana.

And now, as we say our earthly goodbyes, we send those same words back to her.

Di, we will forever LYEDTEIY.

She is healed. She is whole. She is home.
