Dennis Cook

A family visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at 6002 Adirondack in Amarillo. Interment will be in Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas. Dennis Cook, 53, of Amarillo died Monday, September 5, 2005 in Lubbock. He was born May 17, 1952, in Amarillo to V.B. and Mary Jo Cook. He attended Palo Duro High School and graduated from the University of Texas. He was an accomplished artist and musician and was a voracious reader. He was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and later owned and operated his own business, Cooksketch. He was preceded in death by his father, V.B. Cook. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Cook, of Amarillo; his sister, Laura Sheey, of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Rachel Cook-Norris, of Lubbock; a niece, Sarah Sheey and nephew, Liam Sheey, both of Sacramento, CA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. The family requests that memorials be to Faith City Mission, 401 SE 2nd Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
