Dennis E. Book

Dennis E. Book, 75, of Canyon, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Graveside memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Dreamland Cemetery with Larry Virnau, chaplain of Texas Hospice, officiating.

Dennis was born on November 14, 1945 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Harold Clare and Beatrice Jane (Belknap) Book. He received his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and owned and operated Dennis Book Tax Service for many years. He moved to Canyon in 1987 when he married Ava Jean Judy Wilkins on December 18, 1987. Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Viet Nam. He enjoyed watching old westerns and loved playing golf with family and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry L. Book and David B. Book. Survivors include his wife, Ava Book of the home; two sons, Charles Wilkins of Amarillo and Jason Book of Amarillo; daughter, Laila Book of Amarillo; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clare M. Book of Seminole, FL.
