Deborah "Debbie" Townsend

Deborah "Debbie" Ann Townsend, 71, of Happy, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Family directed memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Canyon Hills Church of Christ.
Debbie was born February 24, 1952 in Black Rock, Arkansas to Louis and Adell (Moody) Hendrix. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1971.
On January 1, 1972, Debbie married Stephen Townsend in Copperas Cove, Texas. Debbie loved to crochet and sew blankets and purses. She also enjoyed being outside and tinkering around.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Jacob Allen Brumley.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Steve Townsend of Happy; daughters, Cindy Brumley and Becky Townsend both of Canyon; three grandchildren, Kalob Brumley and wife, Tristan of Canyon, Shelby Townsend of San Antonio, Sondra Sertuche and husband, Ben of Amarillo; great grandson, Brantley Brumley; three brothers, Gary Hendrix and wife, Carol of Austin, Wayne Hendrix and wife, Gwen of Oxford, Connecticut, Neal Hendrix and wife, Laura of Shallowater; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Canyon Hills Church of Christ Missionary Fund, 3109 N 23rd St, Canyon, TX 79015.
