Debbie Ann Fite, 70, of Canyon, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Debbie was born on November 19, 1953 in Amarillo to Billy Joe and Carmelita (Ramsey) Fite. She was a 1972 graduate of Palo Duro High School and received her Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science from Amarillo College. On March 1, 2023, Debbie retired from Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth where she was a medical lab technician for many years. She then moved to Canyon to be closer to her family and friends.
Debbie loved listening to various genres of music, her favorite being Rod Stewart, and collecting movies and memorabilia. She was a studious employee who enjoyed her job and those she worked with. Family was very important to her, especially her relationships with her brother, DeWayne and sisters, Jo Lynn and Marla. The love of her nieces and nephews meant the world to her, and they will lovingly remember her as being the center of the room and filling it with laughter.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sisters, Marla Fite of Mansfield and Jo Lynn Owen and husband, Kerry, of Canyon; her brother, Joe DeWayne Fite of Amarillo; nieces and nephews, Kerry Joe Owen, Kevin Owen, Kristopher Owen and wife, Lauree, Melissa Frisk, and Jacklen Fite; great nieces and nephews, Alicia and Alison Owen, Kaden and Alex Frisk, Everlie Edwards, Kinslee Owen, Jaci Soliz, Khloe and Kamy Owen, Halee Niel, Kavin Galloway, De'Andre Galloway, and Zion Cunningham; three great, great nieces and nephews, Aaliyah, Zayden, and Lucca Soliz; and several special friends.
