Debbie Crenshaw, 52, of Canyon, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Debbie's wonderful spirit, joy and life will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Enns, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church Parlor. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. God celebrated Debbie Crenshaw's arrival in Heaven on October 27, 2017 after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born April 1, 1965 in Amarillo, Texas to T.J. and Jaunita Oldham. Debbie graduated from Amarillo High School in 1983 and West Texas State University in 1988. She married Guy Crenshaw on June 24, 1995, in Amarillo and they raised four wonderful children in a sport-filled, crazy, laughter-filled, God-loving home. Debbie inspired many as a volleyball, basketball, and track coach and a superb math teacher for three decades in Amarillo, El Paso, and Canyon, TexasDebbie loved a great day supporting her kids and grandkids in their many activities, the passion of teaching and coaching, traveling, singing, chilling with friends and family, laughing whole-heartedly at her own story and most importantly her walk with our Lord. The greatest joys in her life were her children – Kayce, Ty, Wes, and Emma, and her grands Jordan and Karter. She was a delightful, joyous, and strong woman who lived her life to the fullest. Debbie was well-loved and loved well. Debbie was welcomed at the gate by her husband, Guy, her father, T.J. Oldham, and her father-in-law, Buddy Crenshaw. She is survived by her children: daughter Kayce (Alex) Davis of San Antonio, Texas, sons Ty and Wes and daughter Emma of Canyon, and her grandchildren Jordan and Karter Davis, her mother Jaunita Oldham of Amarillo, her sister Carolyn (Brian) Branum of Amarillo and her brother Pete (Patti) Oldham of Abilene, Texas, her mother-in-law Ruth Anne Crenshaw of El Paso, as well as a host of family and friends. The family will be at 705 11th St. in Canyon. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Crenshaw Benefit Fund at Happy State Bank or memorials to the Guy Crenshaw Memorial Scholarship, Opportunity Plan Inc., P.O. Box 1035, Canyon, TX 79015, in recognition of Coach Crenshaw's commitment to students.
