Darwin Nunley was born on April 6, 1950 in Kermit, Texas to Erwin and Della Brewer Nunley. He received his Bachelor's degree from W.T.S.U. and his MBA from the University of Texas at Odessa. He married Jo Jan Seitz on January 8, 1972 in Canyon. They returned to Canyon in 1997 where he was the Superintendent of night custodians at WTAMU, retiring in 2011. Darwin loved history and restoring antique tools. He will be fondly remembered as 'Daree' by his grandchildren whom he loved taking to the park and swimming pool. He also loved his pet dogs, Echo and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Jo Jan Nunley, of the home; his mother, Della Sanders, of Kermit; a daughter, Scarlet Estlack and husband, Russell, of Clarendon; two sons, Patrick Nunley, and Spencer Nunley and wife, Cathy, all of Canyon; and three grandchildren, Maggie Nunley, of Canyon, and Nathan and Daniel Estlack, both of Clarendon. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
