Darrel Lehman

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Darrel Lehman was born on August 2, 1930 in Woodward, OK to Elmer and Goldie Lewis Lehman. He married Merle Graves in April of 1950. He retired from the maintenance department at Dalhart ISD in 1993. Darrel enjoyed fishing, camping, and road trips with Merle. He was always busy and built his own home after retirement. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 2005. Survivors include his wife, Merle, of Canyon; two daughters, Linda Irwin and husband, Bill, of Amarillo and Deborah Martello and husband, Randy, of Milton, VT; two sons, Steve Lehman, of Dimmitt and Dwight Lehman, of Canyon; sister, Mildred Newby, of Pinehurst, Idaho; two grandchildren, Kacie Lehman and Kylie Lovell; and two great granddaughters, Emme and Ellie. The family suggests memorials be to the Shriners Children's Hospital, PO Box 328, Amarillo, TX 79105.
