Memorial Services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Gabe Rivas officiating. Daniel Zane Zevely was born on October 15, 1952 in Pampa, Texas to Claud and Inell Brotherton Zevely. He received his bachelor's degree from West Texas State University in 1975 and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Daniel was a sports fan and enjoyed watching football and golf. He also enjoyed reading and traveling. He will be remembered as a kind, good hearted man. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Pena; two sons, Nicholas Zevely, of St. Louis, MO, and Sean Zevely, of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Erin Mazzola, of Columbia, MO; a brother, Kent Zevely, of Amarillo; three step-children, Fred Anthony Pena, Stephen Pena, and Stephanie Pena; and ten step-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Be The Match Foundation, 3001 Broadway Street N.E., Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413-1753.
