Dan Daniel

Dan Daniel, 65, loving husband and father, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Freedom Fellowship Church in Canyon with Darren Dye, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel.

Dan was born in Seagoville, TX on March 8, 1961 to Harvey and Barbara (Cannon) Daniel and graduated from Seagoville High School. Dan was a long-time resident of Canyon and married Sherri Poteet on February 14, 2015 at the Cole Community Center in Canyon.

Dan worked for twelve years at Feldman’s Diner in Canyon and seven years at Spicy Mike’s Bar-B-Q Haven in Amarillo where he made many lasting friendships and was known for his kindness and compassion for everyone.

Dan cherished spending time with his family, whether grilling outside or traveling with his wife, Sherri, to the mountains of Colorado. He loved playing golf and enjoyed all sports, particularly supporting Texas teams. He was most passionate about the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. He also loved his dogs, especially his German Shepard, Daisy.  He was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Robert and Roger Daniel.

Dan is survived by his wife, Sherri Daniel; his children, Tessa Moore and husband, Conrad, Jessica Heflin and husband, Jaimz, Jarred Daniel, Sherilyn Voegele, Rhonda Irvin, and Judith Quisenberry and husband, Kevin; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
