Dale Whitlow

Dale D. Whitlow, 72, of Amarillo, died Friday, November 20, 2002 in Amarillo. Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 2, 2002 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Rev. Paul Burwash, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Happy, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. Dale D. Whitlow was born February 24, 1930 to Pete and Hallie Patterson Whitlow in Dimmitt, Texas. He married Fredda Magness in Clovis, New Mexico March 31, 1950. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Happy, the Grain and Feed Association, Texas Grain and Feed, and the Panhandle Grain and Feed. He was also a member and past Lodge Master of the Masonic Lodge #1008 of Happy. He owned and operated Happy Elevator Company and co-owner of Whitlow-Lee Building Supply. Survivors include his wife, Fredda, of the home; one daughter, Janis Ramaekers and husband, Glenn, of Canyon; two sons, Jim Whitlow and wife, LaRae, of Happy and Bill Whitlow, of Amarillo; one sister, Joline Lee and husband, Robert, of Happy; nine grandchildren and three great granddaughters. The family suggest memorials be to the Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101 and/or to a favorite charity.
