Dale Horner

Dale Nathan Horner passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018. Dale was a resident of Tulia at the time of his passing. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 14 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Max Sunderman, officiating.  A private burial will be held in Channing Cemetery by Pastor Dan Shipley at a later date. Dale was born on October 26, 1963 in Albuquerque, NM to Billy Eugene and Bonnie Lee Horner.  In 1994, his pride and joy was born, daughter Dakota Dayle.  Living the ranching life, the father-daughter duo spent early morning hours riding pastures checking cattle, evenings barbecuing, and listening to their favorite country music.  Daddy's girl Dakota was the highlight of his life.  Preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Dakota of Dalhart;  one brother, Darwin Horner and wife Kay of Happy; sister Darla and husband Harley Baker of Canyon, and sister Debbie Cox. Two nieces and two nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity in Dale's name.
