C.W. James

C. W. James, 74, of Canyon, died December 26, 2001. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. Stephen W. Gaines officiating. Mr. James was born on December 3, 1927 in Castro County. He married Josephine Jesko on November 20, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, a son, and a grandson. Survivors include his wife, Josephine, of Amarillo; three daughters, Marilyn Gaines, of Stinnett, TX, Carolyn Hund, of Hereford, TX, and Kathlyn Catoe, of Eastland, TX; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Iona Elliott, of Amarillo and Eris Kennedy, of Lubbock; one brother, Gerald James, of Dayton, NV; and several other family and friends.
