Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Happy, with Rev. Paul McQuerry, officiating. Viewing will be at Happy"s Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Burial will be at Happy Cemetery. Cone Wilson Johnson was born on July 21, 1914 to Wash and Ella Redding Johnson in Caldwell, Texas. He married Edith Marie (Sweetie) Miller on June 17, 1942. In 1934 he moved from Honey Grove Texas to Happy. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and served in England in 1943-1946. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Marie (Sweetie) Johnson; sons, Randy Miller Johnson and Larry Jim Johnson; his parents, Wash Wilson Johnson and Ella Roxie Johnson; and siblings, William Fagan Johnson, Arch Washington Johnson, Dorothy Grace Johnson, Helen Ethel Johnson and Walter Keat Johnson. He is survived by his son, Ronnie Johnson and wife, Jeanne, of Happy; grandson, Jay Wade Johnson and wife, Bilynn, of Happy; granddaughter, Roxie Johnson and husband, Rex Ralston, of Gruver, Texas; great grandchildren Saxton Ralston, Texann Ralston, C.W. Johnson and Lynnlea Johnson; brother, Reggie Johnson and wife, Connie, of Happy; sister, Bernice Johnson Jennings, of Moore, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at Happy"s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, 12672 Silicon Drive, Suit 105, San Antonio, Texas 78249, or the Happy Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, PO Box 216, Happy, Texas 79042.
