Clifford Graham

A celebration of Mrs. Graham"s life will be held later this month at a family gathering near Quero, Texas. There will be a private interment. The body will not be available for viewing. Clifford Elder Graham was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher Elder, Sr., of Cuero, Texas. She was a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Education degree at the University of Houston. In 1936, she married Walton E. White. Following his death in 1956, she became a member of the Wichita Falls public school faculty and continued in that position until her marriage to Walter Graham in 1965. He preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Graham had been a resident of Craig Retirement Center in Amarillo since 1998. Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by three brothers: J. F. Elder, Jr., of Cuero; Joe B. Elder of Wichita Falls; and Henry Elder of Cuero; and one sister, Marjorie Elder King of Seattle, WA. Special thanks to the staffs of Craig Retirement Sage Creek Apartments, Sears Home Health, and BSA Hospice of Amarillo for their tender, loving, and professional care. She is survived by one brother, Harold T. Elder, Sr., of Corpus Christi, the daughters of her late husband, Walter Graham, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
