Claude Phillips

Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Harold Harrison officiating. Claude Phillips was born on June 13, 1926 in Winters, Texas to Claude and Winnie Townsend Phillips. He married Francis Louise Spillers at Strawn, Texas on September 3, 1949. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2005. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII in the South Pacific and the Phillipines. He worked for Phillips Petroleum and retired in 1985. He loved woodworking as a hobby since 1959. He was a longtime member of Canyon Kiwanis and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Neal Phillips, of Thornton, CO; his daughter, Camille Phillips, of Chandler, AZ; and one sister, Doris Edwards, of Hobbs, NM. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
