Christina C. Vargas

Christina C. Vargas, 60, of Canyon, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Ronald Herr officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M on Monday at Llano Cemetery. A vigil will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Brooks Chapel.
Christina was born on August 28, 1964 in Dalhart to Robert and Berlinda (Aragon) Williams. She was a graduate of Canyon High School and married Armando Vargas on February 18, 1984 in Dumas.
Christina was a wonderful homemaker and was also a nurse's aide at Palo Duro Hospital and a tax preparer for H&R Block with Ruby. She enjoyed shopping, gambling in Las Vegas, and traveling when her children were younger. She loved babysitting and animals (particularly dogs), and especially loved her grandchildren.
Christina was preceded in death by her father in 1988, her mother in 2024, a brother, David Leyba, niece, Casey Butler, and a cousin, Carollee Aragon.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Armando Vargas; daughter, Charisse Hadley and husband, Justin; three grandchildren, Sahily Mills, Adalyah Hadley, and Brecken Hadley; brother, Paul Leyba; and sister, Sandra Lemarr.
The family suggests memorials be to the Ronald McDonald House, 1501 Strait Dr., Amarillo, TX 79106.
