Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Brooks Chapel with Richard James officiating. 'Chris' Clarissa Thomas was born on September 6, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to Walter and Elsie Mae Marshall. She married James Thomas in California in 1956. Chris worked as secretary for A. W. Lair and was then the secretary for County Judge Woody Pond. She later worked for Crouse Hinds, retiring after twenty years. She then worked for Toot-N-Totum Human Resources and lastly, Randall County Juvenile Probation. She attended a home church and had a passion for helping people. She loved reading, painting, and music, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. Chris was preceded in death by her former husband and special friend, J.R. Thomas, her parents, Walter Marshall and Elsie Marshall, two brothers, Jerry and Mickey, and a sister, Elnora. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Trask and husband, Lonnie; two sons, Randy Thomas and wife, Cheryl and John Thomas and wife, Courtney; six grandchildren, Corey and Christy Sanders, Jared Trask, Colton Thomas, and Carrington and Barrett Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Sierra and Kaylynn Sanders and Lillie Mae Sanders; a sister, Risa Saunders; and two brothers, Vernon and Ron Marshall.
