Chester Rupert

Chester Rupert, 75, of Canyon, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Dreamland Cemetery with his great grandson, Chris Fobbs, pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Dumas and Jeff Cates, pastor of Canyon Country Free Will Baptist Church, officiating. Military Honors provided by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Chester was born on June 3, 1943 in Muncy, Pennsylvania to Carl and Mildred Smith Rupert. He was a veteran of the Air Force. He married Cleo Louise Brock on December 13, 1964 in Wichita Falls. She preceded him in death in 2011. He spent 31 years working for Peerless Pump Company in Plainview before coming to Canyon and working as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Canyon for 7 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his daughter, Glenda Pyle of Ralls; two sons, John Brock and wife, Donna of Comanche and Kevin Rupert and wife, Erin of Portland, Oregon; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 14 great, great grandchildren.
