Charlotte Weavers

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Happy, Texas with Rev. Paul Burwash, officiating. Burial will follow at Happy Cemetery. Charlotte Weavers was born on April 3, 1936 to Alice White and William A. Penn in Happy, Texas. She is a life long resident of Happy, Texas. She graduated from Happy High School and attended Wayland Baptist University. Charlotte married Roman Weavers in Happy on June 14, 1958. Mrs. Weavers was employed for the last 15 years by Happy School District as a cook. Prior to her employment at the school, she was a waitress at Al"s Café for 10 years. Charlotte was a member of the First Baptist Church in Happy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, son, Leslie Weavers in 1990, one sister, Willie Faye Noel in 1964, and two brothers, Tommy Penn in 1958, and George Penn in 2002. Survivors include her daughter, Romana Boyd of Sherman, TX; daughter-in-law, Nita Simpson and husband, Ray of Tulia, TX; two brothers, Bill Penn and wife, Sandra of Amarillo, and David Penn and wife, Kay of Sulpher Springs, TX.
