Charles Stone

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Canyon with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor, officiating. The family invites friends to stop by the home to visit. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Charles "CB" Stone was born on May 31, 1938 in Perryton to William and Eileen Duggan Stone. He married Katie Davenport on July 28, 1958 in Canyon. He retired from Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad after 34 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon and Canyon City Masonic Lodge. CB was very family oriented and was an amazing father and an awesome grandfather. He will be fondly remembered by many for his great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zora Lou Stone Norman. Survivors include his wife, Katie, of the home; son, Rocky Stone, of Spring; daughter, Julie Heidemann and husband, Ryan, of Niwot, CO; four grandchildren, Zachary Patrick Stone, Haley and Drew Heidemann, and Madison Heidemann; two step-grandchildren, Shawn and Jennifer Moloney; two sisters, Jean Costley, of Princeton, TX and Glenda Holdaway, of Kiowa, KS; and one brother, Billy Bender, of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be made to Dreamland Cemetery, PO Box 38, Canyon, TX 79015.
