Cecil Odell Rickman, Sr.78, of Canyon, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
Cecil was born on August 3, 1942 in Winnsboro, Texas to Clark and Dorothy Fletcher Rickman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and receiving the Purple Heart Award. He married Hope Britton Rickman in Panama, and she preceded him in death. Cecil enjoyed working out, reading, and word search puzzles.
Cecil was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles Rickman and Calvin Rickman, a sister, Barbara Booth, and a granddaughter, Amanda Franklin. Survivors include four children, Cecil Rickman, Jr., Rick Rickman, Ena Jane Draycott, and Dottie Rickman; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
