Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 7, 2011 at Happy"s Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Tom Stribling, United Methodist Church in Happy, officiating. Viewing will be at Happy"s Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. On Wednesday, November 2 at 7:10 A.M. an angel, wife of 58 years and mother was called home. Catheryn B. Crites Knox was born on November 17, 1935 in Lott, Texas to Welmer and Julia Pomykal Crites. She married Henry Nelson Knox on October 2, 1953 in Waco, Texas. She was a resident of Grantsville, Utah, Ft. Garland, Colorado, and San Benito, Texas. She retired from Tooele Army Depot in Utah after 29 years 11 months and 7 days of Federal Civil Service. She enjoyed a host of friendships, hobbies, and service in the church, and was currently a member of Rio Hondo Baptist Church in Rio Hondo, Texas. She was also a charter member of Speight Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, and First Baptist Church of Grantsville, Utah. She enjoyed crochet, cards, dominoes, a very large collection of coffee cups from travels, and watching hummingbirds and wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband and life long partner, Henry N. Knox, Sr., of Ft. Garland, Colorado; three sons, Henry N. Knox, Jr., and wife Brenda, of San Angelo, Texas, Paul B. Knox, and wife Michelle, of Sulphur, Louisiana, and George W. Knox, and wife Elizabeth, of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Janie Carpenter, of Seattle, Washington; and a brother, W. W. Crites Jr., and wife Louise, of Richardson, Texas; grandson, Jethro Knox and wife Jessica, of Magna, Utah; seven step-grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and a host of friends and close family.
