Carol Kilchriste

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Rick Enns, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Carol H. Schrib Kilchriste was born on February 24, 1930 in Clarendon to Alfred and Eutha Mae Strawn Hamblen. She was a graduate of Clarendon High School and moved to Canyon in 1947. She married Roger Schrib in Clovis, NM on May 28, 1950. She was an upholster and also owned Canyon Glass and Trim. She was also a Golden Tapper and Al Ah Har Belly Dancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Schrib, husband, Neil Kilchriste, sister, Harvey Canafax, and two brothers, Beryl and Sonny Hamblen. Survivors include her son, Gary Schrib and wife, Marilyn, of Canyon; two daughters, Cindy Wright and husband, Jerry, of Abilene, and Debra Wiley and husband, Roger, of Canyon; one brother, Guy Hamblen, of Canyon; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
