Graveside Services will be 3:00 P.M. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at Dreamland Cemetery. Memorial Services will be 4:00 P.M. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor, and son-in law, Rev. Andy Mangum, Senior Minister of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Arlington, officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Brooks Chapel. Carl Lester Hollabaugh of Canyon died August 16, 2007. He was 69 years old. He was born October 13, 1937 in Happy to C. F. and Heslee Hollabaugh. The family moved to Canyon while he was a baby. He went to Canyon High School. He started in the cattle trucking business with his father when he was 18. He had worked at Plains Transportation for the past 17 years, retiring recently. He was a gifted artist and loved traveling to historic places. He met Darlene Hankins from Borger in 1961 and they married on July 14, 1962. Darlene is a teacher with Canyon I.S.D. They just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon and Senior Adult I Sunday School Class. He and Darlene enjoyed bowling together in a league. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, I. H. and Cora Hollabaugh and Mon and Alice Fay Adams and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, son Carl Scott of Canyon, daughter Lori Leigh Mangum of Grand Prairie and son-in-law Andy, three precious grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Mangum, Andrew Carl Mangum, and Joshua Taylor Mangum of Grand Prairie, his mother-in-law Louise Hankins of Canyon, his aunts Gene Crow of Canyon and Catherine Thompson of Midland, brother-in-law Jerry Hankins and his wife Winna of Lake Kiowa and many nieces and nephews.
