Cade died (along with his father) on March 15, 2002, near Lafayette. He was born on March 19, 1999, in Denver to Greg and Lorissa Chapman.Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas with Rev. Tom Lane, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church of Amarillo, officiating.Cade will be remembered for the special relationship he and his father shared, his imagination and intelligence. His father, Greg, made a conscious decision to be self-employed so that he could share as much time with Cade as possible. Cade enjoyed sports, particularly watching "Husker" football on Saturdays with his dad. Cade was also excited by the fact that he was going to be a big brother to his future sister, Peyton Faith. Survivors include his mother, Lorissa Chapman, of Loveland, Colorado; his grandparents, Judy Chapman, of Lincoln, Neb., Sandi and Rick Stalder of Amarillo, Texas, and Jim and Kathy Leitner, of McCook, Neb.; three uncles, Derek, of Amarillo, Kirk, of Amarillo, and Edward and Nancy Chapman, of Lincoln. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the North Bend Cemetery in North Bend, Neb. It will be held at the graveside of Greg's father, James E. Chapman.
