Bobby Treadwell

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Dreamland Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Canyon with Rev. Steve Olsen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Brooks Chapel. Bobby Dale Treadwell was born on January 5, 1945 in Wheeler to TA and Eunice McAlister Treadwell. He married Betty James in Wellington on August 24, 1964. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from WTSU in 1968 and his Master's degree in 1980. He was a Major in the U.S. Army serving from 1968 to 1979 and received two Bronze Stars. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2005. He coached Little League baseball and served as Lt. Gov. for Kiwanis from 1985-1986. He also served on the CISD School Board and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church. Bobby enjoyed golfing, wood working and yard work. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Betty; a daughter, Gretchen Treadwell; two sons, Robert Treadwell and wife, Sandi and James Treadwell and wife, DeeAnna; and seven grandchildren, J. C. and Taren Wells, Leah and Kylie Treadwell, and Zackary, Collin and Brayden Treadwell.
