Bobby Rowland

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. John McClean, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. at Childress Cemetery in Childress, Texas. Bobby Wayne Rowland was born on January 20, 1948 in Vernon, Texas to Clois and Dorothy Skipworth Rowland. He graduated from Childress High School in 1966. He worked for UPS for thirty years where he was a member of Teamsters Union. Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Rowland, his grandparents, H. G. & Docia Rowland and Fowler & Ola Skipworth, two nephews, Jamie and Tate Rowland, and one niece, Shandra Rowland. Survivors include his parents, Clois and Dorothy Rowland, of Canyon; two sons, Bobby Shane Rowland, of Canyon, Kevin Wayne Rowland, of Fort Worth; grandson, Blake Andrew Rowland, of Canada; a brother, Jimmie Rowland and wife, Brenda, of Childress; sister, Linda Rowland Stone, of Canyon; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Joyce Palmer, of Canyon; and many good friends.
