Bobbie Joyce Wilhite, 86, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church, 1211 FM 1151, Amarillo, TX 79118, with Preacher Wayne Smith officiating.
Bobbie was born March 16, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas to Nolan and Lorene (Neeley) Judy. She attended Panhandle schools and Frank Phillips College in Borger. On May 17, 1964 she married Roy Lamont Wilhite in Panhandle, Texas. They moved to Amarillo in 2003.
Bobbie enjoyed furniture stripping and restoring antiques. She was talented at making ceramics and loved to knit and crochet. She also enjoyed making beautiful custom cards for family and friends.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Lorene Judy; daughter, Debbie McKnight of Lamesa; grandson, Timothy McKnight of Lamesa; granddaughter, Alisha Brooke Wilhite of Denton; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Book of Canyon and Merwin Wilhite of Clarendon.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Roy Wilhite; sons, Johnny Wilhite and wife, Lana of Mansfield, Jerry Wilhite and wife, Annie of Kasilof, Alaska; daughter, Janet Abbott and husband, Randy of Canyon; sister, Ava Book of Canyon; son-in-law, Rickey McKnight of Lamesa; brothers-in-law, Robert Count and wife, Karen of Panhandle, Rickey Wilhite and wife, Jody of Lubbock; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; along with nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
