Bobbie Miller

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Southwest Church of Christ with ministers Brian Mashburn and Tom Monroe officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas Bobbie Posey Miller was born on October 21, 1941 in Stamford, Texas to David and Willmath Seaton Posey. Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took her home, April 10, 2011. She grew up in Fisher County and graduated from Rotan High School. She then attended West Texas State University and earned a Bachelor"s degree in Education. She met Charles Miller while at WTSU and they married on June 12, 1964 at her parents" home in Rotan. She was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ and taught preschool Bible class for many years. She also taught and attended regularly the ladies Bible class. She was very active in PTA and Scouting and faithfully attended all the activities of her children. She loved to play games from Pollyanna to golf and was an accomplished Bridge player. She loved exploring the world and visited all seven continents. Bobbie enjoyed life to the full. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Willmath Posey, and a brother, Richard Posey. She is survived by her husband, Charles Miller, of Amarillo; son, Tom Miller and wife, Deanna, of Shanghai, China; daughter, Merry Kay Brewer and husband, Mike, of Yukon, OK; brother, Ted Posey and wife, Gloria, of Rotan, TX; sister, Lanny Maeyers and husband, Dan, of Rhome, TX; three grandchildren, Tyler Holloway Brewer, age 11, Parker Samuel Brewer, age 6, and Jordyn Grace Brewer, age 4 months, all of Yukon, OK; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Brooks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
