Blythe Johnson

Blythe Gennette Cochran Johnson, 96, of Canyon died December 7, 2017.  A memorial service bearing Witness to the Resurrection and celebrating Blythe's life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Hereford, Texas on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.  Reverend Dr. Don McDonald will preside. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Blythe was a life-long Presbyterian, loving the Lord with all her heart and sharing that love with everyone she encountered. She now has realized and obtained what God has promised and is running free! Blythe was married to Nick Johnson, the love of her life, for over 40 years.  They had 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She graduated from North Texas State Teachers College with a degree in Elementary Education, after serving in WWII as a Navy Wave. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and love to the caring staff of Right at Home in Canyon where Blythe resided for the past year.
