Blake Hefley

Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Brooks Funeral Chapel with Shane Nease, pastor of Living Water Christian Fellowship, officiating. Blake Overton Hefley was born on August 26, 1928 near Commerce, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelors degree. After college he served in the Air Force for four years in Virginia. Blake married Margie McAdams on December 6, 1952. Blake and Margie moved to Tulia in 1957. He taught high school in Tulia and Silverton for twenty years. Blake was a long time member of the First Presbyterian in Tulia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie, in 2002, one brother, Riley Hefley, and his parents. Survivors include; his daughter, Diana Hefley of Lubbock; son, Richard Hefley and wife, Reba of Canyon; two brothers, Lynn Hefley of Hungerford and Wayne Hefley of Iowa; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
