Billy Owensby

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 2 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Euell Watts, brother-in-law, officiating. Billy Joe Owensby was born June 2, 1931 in Farmers Valley, Texas to Jim and Laura Poston Owensby. Billy Joe grew up in Clovis, New Mexico, where he married his wife Anita Watts on August 28, 1959. Billy Joe was a very devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, and a granddaughter, Kristina Ann Massey. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Anita Owensby; four sons, Norman LeRoy Gibson, Steven Joe Owensby, Michael Wayne Owensby, Mark Samuel Owensby; a daughter, Lorrie Ann Owensby; and five grandchildren, Maggie, Sheri, Joey, Arlen David, Danyelle.
