Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 2 at the Wayside Community Church with Archie Echols, officiating. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Billy Gene was born June 10, 1936 in Randall County outside of Happy to Lester Frank and Winnie Pearson Bryan. She married James Bible on August 9, 1953 at the Bryan Family Home. Billy raised 8 children and helped run the farm and ranch. Billy was a dedicated mother, MeMaw, mother-in-law, and an awesome cook. She was also a 4-H Leader and an avid punch bowl collector. She loved sewing, gardening, garage sales, antiques and especially canning. She won numerous awards at the Tri-State Fair for her canning. Billy was preceded in death by her son, Jammie Frank Bible, who she is happy to be reunited with once again. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jimmy Bryan, Doyle Bryan, and Dean Bryan; and a sister, Mildred Iola Woods. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James Bible, of the home; seven children, Minnie Thomas and husband, Randy, of Canyon, Joey Bible, of Dalhart, Johnny Bible and wife, Debbie, of Amarillo, Teddy Wane Bible, of Wayside, Tonia Deneane Bible, of Canyon, Tinesa Bible Stovall and husband, Dusty, of Amarillo, Melissa Coulter and husband, Bill, of Odessa; eight grandchildren, Deborah James and husband, Robin, of Canyon, Alexia Thomas, of Canyon, J.O. Thomas, of Commerce, Courtney Waddell and husband, Taylor, of Amarillo, William Thomas, of Amarillo, Brenden Stovall, of Amarillo, Brittany Elliott, of Odessa, Alyssa Elliott, of Odessa; great grandson, Jaiden Thomas, of Canyon; and a sister, Naomi McKee, of Hereford; and numerous family and friends.
