Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 29 at Dreamland Cemetery with David Crump, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Billie was born May 9, 1930 in Castro County to Joseph and Euna Jordan Alley. She married Allen Sparks on March 8, 1947 in Canyon. She was a graduate of Dimmitt High School and Amarillo College. After more than 20 years of employment, she retired from nursing at Northwest Texas Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Billie loved to garden. She also loved her family, ice cream, cooking, and baking. She was a great mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Marcus Allen Sparks, Jr.; an aunt, Lillie Reynolds; and her step-father, Wilbur Cook. Survivors include her children, Leslie Gale Sparks and wife, Linda, of Claude, Jimmy Dale Sparks, of Canyon, Marcus Allen Sparks and wife, Molley, of Victoria; grandchildren, Bryan and Carrah Sparks, Crystal and Chad Wynn, Leslie Wayne Sparks, and Alisha Caldwell, all of Canyon, Shirley Higdon, of Victoria, Jason Hart, of Flatrock, NC, and Jennifer Stroud, of Gravette, AR; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Beth Booker and Peggy McDonald, of Friendswood, Bobby "Baldy" Alley and wife, Marilyn, of Amarillo, and Hafford Alley and wife, Bessie, of Borger. The family suggests that memorials be made to your favorite charity in the name of Billie Sparks.
