Billie Kahler

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Brooks Chapel with Ronnie Nemoede, pastor of Village Park Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. "Billie" Kahler was born on April 9, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri. She married Royal Kahler at Lincoln, Nebraska on September 15, 1937. She loved to play the organ, read her Bible, loved animals and the study of medicine. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005 and a grandson, Dewayne Wilson, in 2007. The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of the Southwest and Vivian"s Nursing Home for the special care Billie received. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Wilson, of Amarillo; two sons, Terry Kahler and wife, Linda, of Livingston, and Ronald Kahler of Canyon; five grandchildren, Nora Moore and husband, Jerry, Paula Lenox and husband, Joe, Christina Barnhill and husband, Bill, Elizabeth Jones and Sandy Kahler; nineteen great-grandchildren, Kristen, Justin, Macy, Scott, Brooke, Cody, Kevin, Holly, Hope, Haley, Heidi, Koy, Anthony, Michele, Carol, Walter, Elijah, Chance and Haley; and one great, great-grandson, Landon.
