Billie Flesher

December 31, 1969 — February 1, 2004

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February, 4, 2004 at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Debra Huffman and Rev. Marvin James officiating. She will be buried in Dreamland Cemetery. Billie Bee Flesher was born on September 10, 1919 in Canyon to the pioneer family of Charles and Avis Flesher. She graduated from Canyon High School and was a lifetime resident of Canyon. She received her BA and MA from West Texas State University. She taught school in Artesia, NM for three years and then worked for 37 years for the Santa Fe Railroad. After retiring from the railroad, she taught court reporting at Amarillo College and then worked in the library at WTSU for 3 years. Survivors include one sister, Natalie Russell, and husband, Lee, of Lake Tanglewood; one cousin, Jane Jewett, of Amarillo; and dear friends, Judy and Ricky Harmon, of Weatherford, TX.
