Bill Casteel

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Rev. Clark Williams, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Collinsville Cemetery, Collinsville, Texas. Bill Casteel was born on July 4, 1926 in Bonham, Texas to John and Ruby Irwin Casteel. He graduated from Ekter High School and then from Sam Houston State College with a B.S. in Agriculture. He married Clemie Reedy on October 4, 1952. While serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, he was stationed in Tokio, Japan. He was a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He worked for SCS and retired in Canyon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clemie Casteel, in 2002 and one brother, Richard. Survivors include, his son, Brian T. Casteel and wife, Amy of Leander; three sisters, Nancy Vermillion of Bonham, Rosemary Stacey of Livingston, and Doris Clary of Bonham; and two grandchildren, Hannah and Gabriel Casteel.
