Bill Andrews, 70, of Happy, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Happy's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Stribling officiating.
Bill was born on December 1, 1952 in Amarillo to Billy F. and Ruth Lynell (Knox) Andrews. He graduated from Happy High School in 1972 and just celebrated their 50th class reunion in September. Bill married Ruth Berg on October 14, 1999 in the Methodist Church in Happy.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was in law enforcement for twenty years, serving as a Randall County Sheriff's Deputy. After law enforcement, Bill was always busy working on his many projects.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Andrews of Happy; his son, Ben Andrews and wife, Melissa of Amarillo; his daughter, Crystal Vega and husband, Charles of Salem, VA; and five grandchildren, Ezra and Evelyn Vega of Salem, VA, Garrett Andrews and wife, Ayden of Canyon, and Haven and Rylin Andrews of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
