Betty Louise Steelman, 86, of Canyon passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Dreamland Cemetery with Daryl Roach officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel.

Betty was born on January 10, 1934 in Wetumka, OK to Jack and Varetta Baker. She graduated from Phillips High School. Betty married John Steelman on October 30, 1954 in Clovis, NM. She and John worked alongside one another with their family owned moving business. She was a member of Canyon Hills Church of Christ.

Betty loved to garden and enjoyed growing flowers. She loved the color pink. She was a strong Christian woman and had a steadfast faith in the Lord. She loved her family and took pride in taking good care of them. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed being home and sharing time with her loved ones.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Steelman. Survivors include sons, Denny Steelman and wife Jody, and Shannon Steelman and wife, Rene; daughter, Kim Golden and husband Randy; siblings, Bill Baker and Rosetta Dunnigan; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
