Betty Patterson

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Six, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Betty Sue Patterson was born on January 30, 1938 in Canyon, Texas to John T. and Letha Shaw Patterson, of Wayside. She graduated from Happy High School in 1955, attended WTSU, and received her cosmotology license in Amarillo. She then worked at Marie's Beauty Salon in Canyon and later purchased the beauty salon and continued working there until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon and was an avid Bridge player. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Dye, in 2000. Survivors include a sister, LaQuitta Polvadore, of Amarillo; one niece, Teresa Polvadore, of Amarillo; and two nephews, Michael Corbitt, of Greenback, Tennessee, and Brett Polvadore, of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
