Betty Irlbeck, 63, of Canyon, died Thursday, January 2, 2003 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Butts, retired Baptist Minister, officiating. Private interment will be at 2:00 PM at Dreamland Cemetery. Betty Irlbeck was born on April 25, 1939 in Tahoka, Texas to Cal and Mary Simmons Stephens. She moved to Canyon in 1953 and graduated from Canyon High School. She married Gilbert Irlbeck in Canyon. She owned and operated Jeans of Canyon clothing store and was a homemaker, mother, and Nana. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Magnificent Matriarchs Red Hat Club of Canyon. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Stephens. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Irlbeck, of Canyon; one son, Steve Irlbeck, of Canyon, two daughters, Kelly Gratz, of Houston, and Becky Irlbeck Butts, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Krista Irlbeck Harkins, Danielle Irlbeck, Chance Irlbeck, Taylor Gratz, Cole Gratz; one sister, Kay Moore, of Amarillo, and one brother, Jack Stephens, of Bastrop, TX. The family suggests memorials be to the Living Water Christian Fellowship 10100 W. Hwy 60 Canyon, TX 79015.
