Betty Ruth Cooper (Mariner) was born on October 13, 1937 to J.H. & Velma Mariner in Canyon Texas. On March 18, 2019 in Overland Park Kansas, Betty went home to be with the Lord.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, two children David, & Donna and 3 grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Mariner, children, Angela, Darlene, Debbie, Jimmie, Latitia, R.C. & Shaunda, 1 niece, Stephanie & 1 nephew, Dwayne, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her love for the Lord, care for others, sense of humor, wonderful smile, bright eyes and shining light to all who knew her. Betty was called into the ministry at age 15. She served the Lord faithfully up until the time of her death.   The family will greet friends on Friday March 22, 2019  from 6pm-8pm at Brooks Funeral Home in Canyon. Services will be held on Saturday March 23, 2019 at 2:00pm at Canyon First Assembly of God 2318 13th Ave., Canyon, with Rev. Billy Nickell officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Canyon First Assembly of God Building Fund.
