Bette Jalufka

Bette Joyce Jalufka, 79, of Canyon passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Enns, pastor, officiating.

Bette was born on July 11, 1941 in Sweetwater, TX to Saint Elmo and Ferrel Black. She married Lucian Jalufka on January 16, 1971 in Irving, TX. He preceded her in death in 2003. She graduated from Draughon's Business College. She was a secretary for many years.

Bette was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was active with the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Lions Club.

Bette enjoyed crafting, doing puzzles and was a collector of angels. She deeply cared for people and was always thinking of others. She loved reading especially cozy mysteries and Lynnette's stories.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynnette Jalufka of Canyon and a brother, Don Black and wife Suzy of Rockford, Illinois.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1818 4th Ave., Canyon, TX 79015.
