Berlinda Williams

Berlinda Williams, 82, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. A vigil will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Brooks Chapel. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Ronald Herr officiating. Private inurnment will follow.

Berlinda was born on August 9, 1942 in Clayton, New Mexico to Bonnie and Juanita (Montoya) Aragon. She received her Master's in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and worked for the State of Texas as an immunization nurse for 20 years. During this time, she also worked at the Women's and Children's Clinic in Amarillo and the Canyon Clinic. She married Robert Williams, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

Berlinda loved children and had a passion for caring for people. She greatly enjoyed being a Boy Scout Troop leader and loved traveling after retirement, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Berlinda was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther Carranza, son, David Leyba, granddaughter, Casey Butler, and a niece, Carollee Aragon.

Survivors include her five children, Paul Leyba, Christy Vargas and husband, Armando, Sandra Lemarr, Josh Williams and wife, Nikki, and Charisse Hadley and husband, Justin; 13 grandchildren, Shyla Russell, David Leyba, Beau Leyba, Tyson Leyba, Sahily Mills, Adalyah Hadley, Brecken Hadley, Dayton Williams, Jace Williams, Blaze Williams, Lola Williams, Judah Williams, and Uriah Lemarr; 6 great grandchildren, Sebastian Russell, Annabelle Russell, Charlotte Russell, Zildjian Leyba, Eli Leyba, and Lorelei Leyba; three sisters, Victoria Fuentes, Dorothy Carranza, and Katie Montoya; and a brother, Steve Aragon.
