Bb Lucy Robbins

BB Lucy Tucek Robbins, 78, of Claude, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Shane Nease, pastor of Living Water Christian Fellowship, officiating. BB was born on September 8, 1946 in Canyon to Lewis and Margaret (Tate) Tucek. She grew up on the family dairy farm and was quite proficient in riding the dairy calves (and an occasional horse) which explains her determination and tenacity. She was a graduate of Canyon High School and received her bachelor's degree in business from West Texas State University (now WTAMU). More recently, she lived in Borger for a number of years before moving to Canyon. She then moved to Claude where she thoroughly enjoyed living close to her much-loved granddaughter, Rylee. BB worked in auto warranty and parts sales for over 30 years. She was an avid reader of all genres and was a master quilter and seamstress, often winning awards for her work. She was an excellent cook, specializing in gourmet cuisine, and also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and listening to live music. Her life was centered around family get togethers, and she was completely devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her two dogs who most often vied for first place in her heart. She loved a cold beer and you could, at times, find her sipping on a glass of good Scotch. Her desire was to be remembered as a trendy, hip lady, and her family and friends will lovingly remember her as just that. BB was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Okla Bert Robbins, and a son, Rocko Robbins. Survivors include her daughter, Cortney Shaller and husband, Steve of Canyon; her son, Josh Robbins and wife, Kristin of Canyon; two grandchildren, Rylee Bowling and husband, Luke of Claude and Sydney Shaller of Yukon, OK; two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Peyton Bowling of Claude; and her brother, Gary Tucek and wife, Jimmie of Avery, TX. Because of BB's love for dogs, the family suggests memorials be to S.C.A.R. (Second Chance Animal Rescue), PO Box 20744, Amarillo, TX 79114.
